Important info for our Restaurant Members:

Restaurants Band Together for Dine for America Day, 5 October

On 5 October 2005, restaurants across the country will band together in a "Dine for America" day, a national fundraising effort to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and help those affected by Hurricane Katrina and their families. The National Restaurant Association encourages CVBs to reach out to consumers through your established communications and to encourage your members to do the same. 

Please make your restaurant members aware of how they can participate by sending them to www.dineforamerica.org. Not only will they benefit from increased foot traffic to their locations, but they also can be part of a larger effort to raise millions of dollars for Hurricane Katrina survivors.

Participating members will have a link placed on the participating restaurants page on the dineforamerica.org and on our doorcounty.com site. 

We will also saturate the local media with press releases regarding the initiative and how to find out who is participating. 

This is a great way to help out and get people to dine out for a good cause.
